CPHS 2012 Reunion

It was great to see everyone at the Giant Tiger!  Thanks to all who purchased tickets.  We have a great party planned!

Attention GT Boutique Shoppers in CP:

Tickets will be available for purchase from us at the Giant Tiger, Saturday 11^th Feb. from 11am – 4pm. We will be able to set up right in front of the cashes as people check out.  Hope to see you there! Tickets are $50 and your name goes in a draw for Dinner at Rideau Carleton Raceway!

We will be set up at the LCBO in Carleton Place on Friday, January 13 from 4-7pm to sell tickets.  We will be there on Saturday, January 14 from 1-4pm.  Pick up your tickets, anyone purchasing a ticket before January 31 is entered into a draw for Dinner at Rideau Carleton Raceway!

We are in the homestretch now and we need VOLUNTEERS!  Please contact us if you can help with decorating or you have ideas that would work with our BACK IN THE DAY theme!

We are also looking for Link Exchange partners to help us promote the event!

The Carleton Place Santa Clause Parade was great this year and we hope everyone enjoyed our float.  Members of the CPHS Reunion Organizing Committee had a blast! 

Please consider purchasing your tickets for the Reunion as a Christmas Gift.  We will be displaying a link shortly that will allow you to purchase CPHS Coffee Mugs and other items in support of the CPHS Golden Bears Football Team. Go Bears!

Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum (Victoria School) have many photos and artifacts related to CPHS and plan to install small CPHS exhibit in their main gallery to coincide with the reunion!

The following local hotel/motel establishments are offering us discounted room rates for the reunion:

Baron’s Motor Inn will give us a discount on rooms. He has at this time 14 rooms set aside for the reunion at a price of 129.00 plus tax, less 10%.

 We spoke to Malik at 7 West, he has 23 rooms available.  Cost will be:

 1 person in a room 69.00 less 10%,

He also has a Bed and Breakfast on Lake Ave. West across from the High School which are suites with your own kitchen, bathroom and own entrance at 109.00 less 10% and of course we would need to add taxes on all these.

 Both the Barons and 7 West say they will have no problem doing the best they can to accommodate as many as possible but the rooms are first come first served.

The CPHS Organizing Committee had a display at the Sidewalk Sale in Carleton Place yesterday.  Postcards were handed out to many people - spread the word!

The Organizing Committee is hard at work trying to make this a welcoming and inclusive event for everyone.  Tours of Carleton Place High School will be available for those who are interested and some very colourful Emcee's have been lined up to take us for a tour down memory lane.  The Mick Armitage Band will be proving the entertainment.   Please join us in making the CPHS 2012 reunion a success.
